Refund Policy
At Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq, we are dedicated to maintaining transparency, fairness, and ethical practices in every aspect of our publication process. This Refund Policy defines the conditions under which refunds may be considered and the procedures for requesting a refund related to publication or service fees.
Publication Fees
Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq may charge publication fees to cover the costs of manuscript processing, peer review, editing, online hosting, and archiving.
-
These fees are clearly communicated to authors before acceptance and are paid only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.
-
Once editorial and production work has begun, publication fees become non-refundable, as substantial resources are utilized in preparing the article for publication.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered in limited and justified situations, such as:
-
Withdrawal Before Acceptance:
If an author withdraws the manuscript before acceptance and no editorial work has begun, a full refund may be granted. -
Non-Publication:
If the manuscript is accepted but later deemed unsuitable for publication due to editorial or technical reasons beyond the author’s control, a partial or full refund may be approved. -
Duplicate Submission:
If the author accidentally submits the same manuscript to multiple journals and withdraws it from Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq before acceptance, the publication fee may be refunded after verification.
Refund Procedure
To ensure a smooth process, the following steps must be followed:
-
Formal Request:
The author must submit a written refund request to the editorial office, clearly explaining the reason and including supporting documentation if applicable. -
Processing Time:
The editorial team reviews refund requests within 7–10 business days. Eligibility is determined based on the stage of publication and the circumstances outlined in this policy. -
Method of Refund:
Refunds are processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction. If this method is unavailable, an alternative arrangement may be made with the author’s consent.
Non-Refundable Situations
The following cases are not eligible for a refund:
-
Post-Acceptance Withdrawal:
Once an article has been accepted and editorial work has begun, the publication fee is non-refundable, even if the author decides not to proceed. -
Ethical Violations:
If an article is found to involve plagiarism, data falsification, or research misconduct, the publication fee will not be refunded. A formal retraction will be issued if necessary. -
Failure to Revise or Respond:
If authors fail to submit the required revisions within the stipulated timeframe, resulting in manuscript rejection, no refund will be granted.
Special Cases for Refunds
Refunds may be granted under exceptional circumstances, such as:
-
Payment Errors:
In cases of double payment, overpayment, or technical errors during payment processing, the excess amount will be fully refunded. -
Journal Cancellation or Technical Issues:
If Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq is unable to publish a manuscript due to unforeseen circumstances—such as technical failures or journal closure—the full publication fee will be refunded to the author.
Institutional or Corporate Subscriptions
For institutional or corporate subscription fees, refunds will only be issued in exceptional cases, such as failure to provide access to subscribed content or cancellation of the subscription by the journal.
Non-Refundable Services Beyond Publication Fees
Services outside the standard publication process are non-refundable once initiated, including:
-
Language editing or translation services
-
Figure or graphical design services
-
Formatting or layout assistance
Since these are third-party or customized services, refunds cannot be processed after commencement.
Final Decision on Refunds
All refund requests are subject to final approval by the editorial board of Ramooz-e-Tahqeeq.
The decision will be made based on fairness, documented evidence, and the guidelines stated in this policy.
The journal is committed to ensuring that every refund decision is handled with transparency, professionalism, and respect for all parties involved.
